[edit] About Myself (Kashakunaki)
Smash Heroes/Idols: Smashmac, DaShizWiz, and KeepSpeedN (The infamous Mario Hat Bros.)
Smash History: One of the first games I got for the Nintendo 64 was Smash. I remember that Christmas eve. My parents didn't want me to get video games for some unknown reason (at least to me at the time). I think it was because they thought they were stupid and were afraid I'd get addicted. Well, here I am, some 10 years later.... addicted. Haha. Anywho, I played that game relentlessly. I was the best out of all my friends and neighborhood. Though, I was still very young (maybe around 6) and very, very ignorant about video games in general, nonetheless Smash.
Then the Gamecube rolled into town in, what, 2001? I asked my parents to buy it for me (I was about 9) but they complained and said I already owned a Nintendo 64 and didn't need another game system. Needless to say, crying ensued, haha. Well, I saved up my own personal funds (where I got the money is anyone's guess). About half way to a Gamecube, my dad came home one afternoon with a Gamecube and Melee in his arms and said he thought he'd help me out. I played Melee relentlessly. I was just so blown away by how different it was and how awesome it was. Then I unlocked Dr. Mario, and, well, the rest is history. Haha.
Several years passed and I thought I was the best. Again, I was the best out of my neighbors and my friends. I would constantly challenge people to the game. The only people who could beat me (or almost) are my frequent Smashing buddies to this day. Then came my first tournament... well, we all know what happened there. It was my first time hearing of advanced techniques and, needless to say, I got owned. It wasn't until my fourth tournament that I learned about Smashboards from some Arizonians. I didn't check it out for awhile because I hated big forums, but eventually I looked into it, hooked up with some other New Mexico players, and started reading about how to actually play the game. Since then I've become the Smash player that I am today. Not someone worth mentioning, but a pretty decent Smash player.
