Green Shell

The Green Shell is a throwing item that keeps going in one direction unless it hits a wall and then bounces in the opposite direction. This item has a lot of knockback. Note that in Super Smash Bros., both the Green and Red Shell types are categorized together and called just "Shell".
- Jumping on it causes it to roll.
- Direct smash throw does 26% damage.
- Tap Attack throw does 23% damage.
- While rolling does 16% damage.
- When dropped does 18-22% damage.

An item that, when thrown or jumped on, careens across stages and hurts any player it hits. Green shells follow the environment's contours as they go and reverse direction when they hit walls. They really send opponents flying, so they're very effective as throwing weapons. If a shell's approaching, stop it by jumping on it. This technique is used in the Mario series.
