[edit] History
On the 2nd of December, 2007, the local EB Games hosted their first Super Smash Bros. Melee tournament in honor of the original release date of Super Smash Bros. Brawl on the 3rd of December, 2007. Although this tournament was a non competitive event (due to a non competitive staff), this tournament none the less, drew 40+ attendants locally. Suave, the only competitive group of players in Grand Prairie, gained notoriety among the rookie competition of their city, opening the door to competitive smash to the many tournament participants.
