Future Smash Bros. is an unofficial Adobe Flash game developed by Sora246, and is currently under development. The game is mainly based on Super Smash Bros. Brawl, meaning that most of the game is taken from Brawl itself. The game had the first demo released on July 25, 2008. The game itself will most likely be released on January 2009.
The game has many things that makes it similar to Brawl and things that separate itself from it. It has many features, even online capability, which was achieved using a private server. Other features include a tournament mode, an Adventure Mode similar to the Subspace Emissary, and even a music player to listen to the various songs in the game. Sora246 has also stated that he will have an online Future Smash Bros. tournament when the game receives good reviews prior its demo release.

[edit] Characters
Future Smash Bros. features many characters from Super Smash Bros. series such as Mario, Link, Pikachu, and Samus. The game also contains four third-party characters such as Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog and Konami's Solid Snake. The other characters being Miles "Tails" Prower and Capcom's Megaman.
Some of the characters will be unlocked in the Adventure Mode, while four characters can only be unlocked through Classic Mode. The characters also have a different Final Smash unique to their abilities, some being different from their Brawl counterpart mainly to abolish clones.

[edit] Game Modes
Future Smash Bros. features many single player Game Modes, the three major modes of Solo are Classic Mode, Adventure Mode, and All-Star Mode. Classic Mode and Adventure Mode are available from the start, while All-Star Mode must be unlocked by unlocking all the hidden characters.
Each mode pits the player with a different obstacle that they must confront. The most elaborate of the three is Adventure Mode this mode will be similar to Subspace Emissary, meaning that there will be a storyline and boss battles. It has been stated by Sora246 that everyone will be surprised at who the final boss of Adventure Mode will be.
[edit] Classic Mode
Classic Mode is very similar to its Smash Bros. counterpart of the same name. This mode features twelve obstacles that the player must get through in order to excel, plus three bonus stages.
Each stage is given a unique obstacle that the player must face, with the opponent being completely random. You could face a Giant, a Metal, or even an army of characters. Even though the characters are completely random the pattern of the stages aren't, each obstacle is pre-set to a certain pattern. May seem pretty predictable, but the difficulty of the opponent may change that point of view.
The twelfth and final stage of Classic Mode is where you face the final boss of Classic Mode. The boss can be different depending what level of difficulty the player plays. If the player reaches the final stage without a continuation they will face that boss, if they do have a continuation then they will always face Master Hand. The final boss is not the only boss in Classic Mode. If the player plays Adventure Mode and defeats a boss that boss will be added to Stage 10. For every boss defeated the very same boss can be battled against in Classic Mode.
[edit] Adventure Mode: Gateway Apocalypse
Gateway Apocalypse is the story mode for Future Smash Bros., according to Sora246 it will possess gameplay similar to the Subspace Emissary. He even announced that there will be Flash cutscenes as well, and various bosses to fight.
Most of the game's roster is unlockable through this mode, and other things as well such as music, bosses, and a new game mode. The story of this game hasn't been revealed yet, but Sora246 has revealed the first chapter of the storyline.

All-Star Mode is a secret single player mode in Future Smash Bros. It can only be unlocked by unlocking all of the hidden characters. The rules for All-Star Mode are simple try to survive through a series of fights, with only three heart containers to heal yourself with.
This time around there are two different versions of All-Star Mode. One is where you battle all the characters in chronological order of their game's release. The other being Boss All-Star Mode where you battle all the bosses of both Adventure Mode and Classic Mode.

There are many stages featured in Future Smash Bros. Each originating from other Nintendo games, such as Mushroom Kingdom from Super Mario Bros. or Bridge of Eldin from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. The game contains both original stages and stages from the Smash Bros. games.
